How do you view or perceive yourself and others? How often are you judgmental? How do you react to things when they don’t go your way? Do you get angry with someone when they displease you?
These questions at their essence are more important than the answers. Start with honesty. Being honest with where you are is the doorway to deepening your spiritual discovery.
Look at where you are now. Looking at now is the only way to be free. Remember, no person is perfect. We all make mistakes. The question to ask is if you allow the mistakes to own you with guilt or do you allow the mistakes to be a light and great teacher.
It is best not to feel sorry for yourself, but to instead use every moment to discover how your ego reacts to the world. Use the challenges to transform yourself into a practice to learn to love everything. Most importantly love and forgive yourself. Once you love yourself this love radiates eternally. The high spiritual road is about loving and letting go.
Why spend energy holding onto anger, resentment and fear toward yourself or anyone else? What does this do for you?
Life certainly never works out according to our plans. In fact, if you want to make God laugh, tell God your plans.
The future is always unknown. How easily are you able to rest in the unknown and enjoy the spontaneous beauty of the moment?
Start from where you are now. Where are you? You are here NOW. What is NOW? Now is freedom. Freedom is your true nature.
Over thinking prevents the freedom of NOW. If you find yourself thinking about something, see if you can stop the mental momentum by asking the questions such as, “Who is having these thoughts? Who feels afraid? Who wants things in life to be different than they are?”.
Being honest about who you are always leads to deeper discovery of your true nature. Who are you if you recognize your reactions to the world without needing change anything? Who are you if you let love deeply into your heart?
The deepest more intimate spiritual question of all is, who are you without any thoughts about who you are?
Be honest with yourself. Be kind to yourself. Stop holding on to idea of needing to be perfect for there is no such thing as perfect.
You are perfect exactly the way you are. You will be amazed by the simple act of turning to love. With love, all of what you don’t like about yourself disappears.
Your true nature is the source of God. God is Consciousness and to be conscious is to know God.
God is Love and you are THAT. To truly Love is to be God.
